Here is more about the plot: Jotaro notice he cant find the killer by common methods so he ask to Joseph to use his stand to find him, here are a discussion cause even if they find him with his stand there is no way to arrest the person without evidence. By that time Kakyoin discover the Joseph stand and think a way to get rid of him.
Eventually Dio go to visit his cherry friend and Kakyoin ask him for help cause Hermit Purple can find him in any moment and it can be a real problem for Kakyoin to be found for someone but Jotaro. So in the end Dio and Kakyoin make a plan to kill him, resulting successful.
